Habitat

The Eastern Habitat Joint Venture’s habitat-conservation efforts focus on landscapes that are the most threatened by development, agriculture and climate change. Since its inception in 1989, EHJV partners have invested over $339 million to protect 10.7 million hectares of high-priority and high-quality waterfowl habitat, of which 243,000 hectares have been restored. Most of these conservation activities take place within EHJV target program areas as per the map below.
